Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, while attending the second Addis weg roundtable discussion forum, indicated that his government has both the capacity and commitment to protect safety and security of citizens.
The government is the right body to ensure rule of law and it’s having of legal grounds and institutions to undertake these duties are indicative of the commitment to respect rule of law, the Prime Minister noted.
“The government is not taking quick measures to protect safety and security of citizens,” participants reflected.
Responding to this complaint, Abiy noted that the government needs to be patient more than anybody else but has the capacity and commitment to protect citizens.
