PM meets with Protestant Church representatives

Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed has today met with around 400 members of the protestant church.

The meeting is aimed at cementing unity among the church members filling gaps that may have currently caused differences within them.

The Prime Minister lauded the historic role played by religion in nation building and requested religious institutions in the country to play their part in strengthening unity within themselves and the country at large.

The Prime Minister has met with different society representatives so far and today’s meeting is part of his schedule to meet and discuss with people in various segments of the country.

According the statement from his Office, such discussions are worth conducting and shall be sustained in the coming months.
