The House of People’s Representatives is has met today and approved the 2019/20 budget to be 386.9 billion birr.
The Prime Minister, diplomats, religious leaders and political party representatives have attended the event.
In its 71st regular session held on June 8, 2019, the Council of Ministers proposed more than 386.9 billion birr.
The same amount is approved by the House today to be used for various political, economic and social endeavors of the government.
Before the approval, the Prime Minister has responded to questions raised from members of the house in relation to allocation of budget.
according to him, the budget is more aimed at creating job opportunities for the youth.
