The executive council of the Amhara Democratic Movement (ADP) has begun its meeting today in Bahir Dar, capital of Amhara state.
The meeting came in the wake of two separate killings in Bahir Dar and Addis Ababa that claimed the lives of higher leaders including Dr. Ambachew Mekonnen, president of the Amhara state.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed called the killing as attempt of coup by purging leaders the people see as an icon, and the army chief to broke the command chain of the army.
