A high-level Ethiopian delegation will participate at the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) which was opened on September 17, 2019 in New York.
Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nebiat Getachew, told journalists today that the Ethiopian delegation will take active part in meetings of the six main committees of the General Assembly.
The first day of the high-level General Debate will be September 24, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
During the week of the debate, several other high-level events also will convene including a climate summit, high-level meeting on Universal Health Coverage, Political Forum on Sustainable Development, dialogue on financing for development, meeting on the elimination of nuclear weapons and meeting to review progress made in addressing the priorities of small island developing States (SIDS) through the implementation of the SIDS Accelerated Modalities of Action (SAMOA) Pathway.
