The Addis Ababa Public Service and Human Resource Development Bureau announced that it has offered training for nearly 4000 leaders of the city in a bid to transform the implementation capacity of civil servants to a better level.
Bureau’s Implementation sector head Ayehu Mekonnen told WMC that the trainees are drawn from the Woredas and the center took training in eight rounds.
The major topics of the training were, according to her, punctuality, performance management, and cascading responsibilities and group works.
She also said that corruption and rent seeking problems that have faced the city were also the topic of the training.
Ayehu said that the Buearu has made an assessment on how was the training and found to be up to the need the trainees.
She also said that the Bureau will conduct an overview assessment to know whether the training given to leaders has been implemented on the ground.
The Bureau has also facilitated training for people with disabilities and 455 women on decision making capacities.
