35th Ordinary Session of the AU Executive Council kicks off in Niger

The 35th ordinary session of the Executive Council of the African Union (AU) has started in Niger, Niamey.

The meeting is one of the statutory meetings of the 12th Extra Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union (AU), which will see the launch of the operational phase of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and the holding of the 1st Consultative Meeting between the AU and Regional Economic Communities (RECs).

The African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) will be part of the 35th Ordinary Session of the African Union Executive Council.

The Ministers of External Affairs and other ministers or authorities designated by the governments of AU Member States will deliberate on issues on the agenda of the AU Summit in preparation of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the Union. 

The ACBF as a specialized agency of the African Union will participate, represented by Amb. Abdoulaye Diop.
