Ethiopia will host the 2021 World Telecommunication Development Conference, the ITU Council agreed this Saturday at the request of the African nation.
The nomination for the event was effective during the ITU (International Telecommunication Union) meeting, which began on 10 June and will conclude on June 20 in Geneva.
Ethiopia presented its candidacy last May for the four-yearly conclave, the next edition of which is expected to be attended by 5,000 delegates.
The previous Conference was hosted in Buenos Aires.
