First Ethio-Italian business forum opens

The Ethio-Italian business form, which is the first of its kind opened in Addis Ababa today.

Italian deputy foreign minister and international cooperation minister, Emmanue Aloroe, and renowned Italian business institutionw along with 40 companies attend the opening of the bilateral forum.

The business forum will help the two countries strengthen their relation, which had traced back to 130 years.

The forum will deliberate on ways of fostering trade and investment relation they already had with Ethiopia identified economic issues of second Growth and Transformation Plan (GTP) as a major area of emphasis.

The Italian companies are in Ethiopia to look into possible investment areas so that Ethiopia will be benefited from the expertise and technology the company that will venture in investment.

Agriculture, infrastructure, logistics and textile and hides, are among others, areas of investment topped the discussion.
