Addis Ababa Establishes Bureau to Attract Hotel Investment

Intending to attract more investment towards the city's hotel industry, the City Council of Addis Ababa decides to open a convention bureau.

Kumneger Teketel, it was reported, will lead the newly established bureau.

The opening of the bureau also aims to capitalize on the city's unique position as a diplomatic center, the seat of the African Union, among other things, to be a center of meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE).

The Council also approved a 47.6 billion birr budget for upcoming Ethiopian fiscal year.
