The second SolveIT! a nationwide innovation competition for Ethiopian youths, has been launched in Addis Ababa last Friday.
Sponsored by U.S. Embassy and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the program helps Ethiopian youth to develop tech-based solutions to address community challenges.
SolveIT! is part of the U.S. Embassy’s ongoing efforts to invest in Ethiopians, providing opportunities, training and experiences in education, health, human rights, economic development, humanitarian assistance, and peace and security.
The program is collaboration among the U.S. Embassy, JICA, and iCog Labs.
Representatives from the U.S Embassy, JICA, iCog Labs and Ministry of Innovation and Technology attended the Addis Ababa launch event.
The program will take place in 15 cities/towns.
