Discussion Held to Help International, Domestic Companies in IPs Utilize Japan’s Vast Market

Addis Ababa, June 12, 2024 (Addis Walta) Discussion was held at Industrial Park Development Corporation (IPDC) aiming to assist international and domestic manufacturing companies in various industrial parks (IPs) to better utilize the huge Japan’s market potential.

Japanese ambassador to Ethiopia, Mr. Shibata Hironori and IPDC CEO, Aklilu Tadesse conferred on helping companies to effectively use Japan’s market potentials as well as motivating Japanese companies to invest in IPDC.

During the discussion, Ambassador Shibata Hironori noted “We are trying to attract more Japanese investors to invest in industrial parks”.

IPDC CEO, Aklilu Tadesse, on his part stated that Japanese investors’ involvement in industrial parks is not as expected taking the long history of relationship between the two countries.

He underscored that to further increase the investment of companies, the IPDC has made all preparation to facilitate their smooth entrance into various sectors, according to IPDC.

Recently, a cornerstone stone was laid to build a giant Japanese company that produces secret printing products that meet international security standards, including passports, at Bole Lemi Industrial Park.
