Ethiopia Sends Condolences to Malawi Following the Tragic Death of the Late Vice President.

Addis Ababa, June 12, 2024 (Addis Walta) The Ethiopian government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has extended its condolences to the people and government of Malawi following the tragic death of Vice President Dr. Saulos Klaus Chilima and nine other Malawians.

In a statement issued today, MFA Ethiopia stated, “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia is deeply saddened to learn about the tragic plane crash that claimed the lives of the Vice President of the Republic of Malawi, Dr. Saulos Klaus Chilima and other nine Malawians.”

In a heartfelt gesture, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs conveyed its deepest condolences to the bereaved families, friends, the Government, and the people of the Republic of Malawi.

“The Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and its people stands in solidarity with the Government and people of the Republic of Malawi during this difficult time,” the statement read.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia offers prayers for the peaceful repose of the souls of the departed.”
