The Executive Committee of Ethiopian People's Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) has dropped charges of many inmates recently. In this regard, it has decided to release 101 prisoners from detention as of yesterday.
It was noted that 56 Ginbot 7 members, 41 Oromo Liberation Front (OLF) and 4 religious extremists and terrorist advocators are released.
Colonel Demeke Zewdie, Getachew Ademe, Atalay Zerfu, Nigist Yirga and Teshager Woldemicheal are among others.
Similarly, the President Mulatu Teshome has approved pardon to release 18 detainees Birgadier General Tefera Mamo and Asamnew Tsigie inclusive.
