China says it will help Africa’s fight against poverty

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that the government of China will stand by the side Africa’s fight against poverty.

African Union leadership academy in collaboration with Chinese Zejiang Normal University organized China-Africa think-tank forum.

In his opening remark, the Minster said that China will help Africa by sharing its experience of dealing with poverty alleviation efforts.

“My country wants to strengthen ties with African countries,” said that Minster adding that the cooperation fields comply with the country’s development agenda.

Peace and stability, public health service, human resource developments are areas in which the government of China ready to offer support to Africa.

China, which already offers scholarships to African students, will, according to him, continue offering support on human resource development.

“The China’s support will help the continent realize agenda 2063,” said African Union Commission chairperson Mousa faki Mehmet.

The Chairperson said that the continent has established strong relationship with Africa by building infrastructures including railway and road and others.

 He also said that African countries should take lesson from China’s way of poverty alleviation.

Special advisor to the premier, Arkebe Oqubay on his part said that Ethiopian has been built industries and infrastructures after taking experience from China.

African and Chinese research institution has been pondered on possible opportunities and obstacles of the African continent.
