UAE keen to consolidate ties with Ethiopia: Ambassador

 The United Arab Emirates says it is keen to boost the bilateral relations with Ethiopia, the country’s Ambassador to Ethiopia said.

 Ambassador Ghazi Abdullah bin Ashour Al-Muhri told ENA that that UAE is keen to enhance the bilateral relation which he said is “close and advanced”.

 He mentioned the visit of Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Hailmariam Desaleng last December to UAE to display the strong ties.

 The Ambassador stressed that the ties between the two countries have a promising future.

 He noted UAE’s desire to increase the volume of UAE investments in Ethiopia and tap the attractive investment environment and promising market here.

 The Ambassador said the two countries had earlier signed a number of agreements that would enable UAE companies come and invest in Ethiopia.

 Some 103 UAE companies engaged in agriculture, livestock, pharmacy and hotel are invested in Ethiopia. (ENA)
