Hawassa industrial to create 60, 000 jobs next year

The Hawassa Industrla Park, one of the emerging industrial abodes in the country, is expected to create more than 60 thousand jobs for unemployed youth as of next year.

According to Head of Operation Management, Administrations and Human Resource Management, Fitsum Ketema, the industrial park has already created about 12 thousand jobs for the youth.
Ethiopia’s due focus to the manufacturing sector has made it to be a preferred hub for investment as compared to many African countries, he remarked.
Many foreign companies have already engaged themselves in the industrial parks taking the benefits they could reap from the suitable investment conditions in the country into account, he said.

The Hawassa industrial park is also expected to contribute its share in the effort to boost export and increase foreign exchange earning via export increment.
