The Addis Ababa City Roads Authority and Ethiopian Roads Authority said that they are conducting resolutions to tackle the challenges in road construction.
Representatives of the authorities in a discussion program organized by Walta Television said that limited allocation of time for road maintenance and lack of raw material for road construction are becoming challenges.
Communication Head with Addis Ababa City Roads Authority, Tiumay Woldegebriel, said that the authority is intensively working to tackle the challenges via establishing training centers and other schemes.
He added that the authority is also working hard to satisfy the ever growing demand of the public for road construction at large.
Similarly, lack of raw material is a challenge for road maintenance and construction as well Representative with Ethiopian Consultants Association, Tadele Amsalu said.
Participants of the discussion underscored that the authorities are consolidating efforts to lastingly resolve the challenges by organizing regional and administrative entities to support it with legal framework, Walta learnt.
