Office allocates 487 mln ETB for potable water projects

The Water Development Fund Office announced that it has allocated 487million ETB for potable water development projects in three towns.

Director General with the Office, Wana Wake, told a press conference today that the three towns signed agreement with the office to benefit from the fund, are Werabe, Chencha and Legetafo.

According to the agreement reached, the 487 million will cover 60 percent of development cost while the rest 40 percent expense will be secured from regions and other stakeholders.

The three projects, which found in Oromia and South regions, are expected to benefit over 200 thousand people.

So far, the office financed 92 projects which worth over 9 billion birr.
