PM Meles says Ethiopia would work for peace, prosperity of Sudan, South Sudan

Addis Ababa, November 21 (WIC) – South Sudanese President, Salva Kiir Mayardit held talks on Saturday with Prime Minister Meles Zenawi on bilateral issues as well as regional peace and security.

The two leaders conferred on trade, investment and regional issues of peace and security. In addition, they exchanged view on ways of further strengthening relations between the two nations.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Hailemariam Desalegn said the leaders discussed on ways of filling capacity gap of the new nation.

Hailemariam said the Prime Minister has assured the President that Ethiopia would do its best for the peace and prosperity of both Sudan and South Sudan.

During the talks, agreement was reached to hold in the near future joint ministerial commission meeting in Juba in a bid to promote common regional growth.(ENA)
