EPRDF leadership urged to be committed to nation’s renaissance

Addis Ababa, December 31, 2012 (WIC) – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Demeke Mekonnen has urged the leadership of the Ethiopian Peoples’ Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) to be committed for the success of the renaissance of the nation it has promised.

The Deputy Prime Minster made the remark on Sunday on the conclusion of the 5th round training of high level EPRDF leadership. Over 445 high level EPRDF leadership from various part of the nation took part in the training that lasted for 50 days.

The training included EPRDF from establishment until 2002 E.C, the Five Year Growth and Transformation Plan and Ethiopian Renaissance as well as the Renaissance Forum and the Question of Leadership, among others.

Demeke stressed the need to practically implement the promise for the renaissance journey of the nation by the leadership.

Director General of the EPRDF Training Center, Addisu Legesse for his part said the 5th round trainees are shouldered with a special trust than those who were trained before them.

In a statement they prepared on the concluding day of the training, the trainees expressed their readiness to contribute to the ongoing development and good governance endeavors of the nation.

According to ERTA, on the occasion, governmental and non-governmental institutions that contributed to the success of the training were recognized.
