Ethiopia, Somaliland to bolster ties

Addis Ababa, 15 July 2014 (WIC) – Somaliland, a self-declared independent nation, said that it wants to strengthen its relations with Ethiopia in security, trade, investment, education and culture.

A delegation of the country led by President Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud Silanyo held discussions with Ethiopian premier Hailemariam Desalegn on 14 June 2014 in Addis Ababa.

According to African Affairs Director in the Ethiopian Foreign Ministry, Solomon Abebe, the discussion aimed at bolstering the all round relations of the two countries.

The President of Somaliland said that his country wants to lift its bilateral relations with Ethiopia to a new height. (ERTA)
