Premier leaves for US

Addis Ababa, 4 August 2014 (WIC) – Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn has left for Washington, D.C, to participate in the US -Africa Leaders Summit.

In the ever new in its kind of US- Africa Summit, leaders will discuss on the issues of strengthening trade and investment between African countries and the USA; on improving democracy and ways of bringing about sustainable peace and security for Africa.

Premier Hailemariam Desalegn is expected presenting Ethiopia’s experience, among other things, on renewable energy production, establishing climate resilient economy and its efforts to bring about sustainable peace and security in Africa.

With the invitation of US president Barack Obama, 50 African leaders participate in the Washington summit.

According to ERTA, the summit in general is expected to discuss deeply on ways of building better Africa.Fund to be announced at US-Africa Summit.
