Ethiopian delegation meets WGGA Vision’s GM in Toronto

Addis Ababa, 16 September 2014 (WIC) –The Ethiopian delegation headed by Kassa Tekle-Berhan, Speaker of the House of Federation (HoF), which is currently visiting Canada, met on Sunday with Dr. Melaku Game, General Manager of the WGGA Specialized Vision Clinic in Toronto.

Established in May 2012 by Canadian and American Diaspora physicians and an investment banker, WGGA is a state of the art vision clinic providing comprehensive medical and surgical management of eye issues and diseases within Ethiopia, to the region and the Diaspora.

The delegation’s side included Alemayehu Tegenu, Minister of Water, Irrigation and Energy; Fitsum Arega, Director General of the Ethiopian Investment Agency; Ambassador Birtukan Ayano, Ambassador of Ethiopia to Canada; as well as other diplomats and business persons.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance Ethiopia’s health infrastructure development.

WGGA Vision’s General Manager, Dr. Melaku Game, welcomed the delegation’s visit and expressed his conviction that the Government of Ethiopia would remain committed to the realization of the Clinic’s objectives in Ethiopia.

WGGA Vision offers sophisticated diagnostic imaging and surgical technology to evaluate and correct vision problems. It dispenses eye glasses and participates in institutional and human development endeavors to improve the skills of health professionals in Ethiopia. (MoFA)
