Addis Ababa, 11 November 2014 (WIC) ¬– Government Communication Affairs Office said that past four years gross performance in most sectors of the Growth and Transformation Plan is so successful and encouraging, which has complemented to its becoming exemplary in global platforms.
Briefing journalists today about current issues of the country, Minister of GCAO Redwan Hussien said that the efforts exerted by the people and government of Ethiopia to ensure fast and sustainable economic growth have already brought encouraging results.
The country has achieved encouraging out put in most of the development sectors targeted in the Five Years’ Growth and Transformation Plan including infrastructure, agricultural productivity, health and educational accessibility, he emphasized.
The Minister also pin pointed that the government has consolidated its efforts to effectively accomplish the plans that have already set in GTP and lagged behind so far.
In connection to the upcoming national election, the minister said that preparations to make it democratic, peaceful and credible have already finalized.
He also confirmed that the election will be open for interested international observers.
