Addis Ababa, 19 April 2015 (WIC) – The government of Ethiopia strongly condemns the atrocious massacre committed by is terrorist group on migrants in Libya.

Government communications affairs office minister Redwan Hussein said that Ethiopia condemns such inhuman act on innocent migrants.
Redwan recalled that from the very begging, the people of Ethiopia and the government have been striving in struggling and fighting against religious extremism and terrorism.
Such efforts help the country to ensure suitable peace, stability and development, he stated.
Despite different international media have dispatched the story that is committed the brutal killings on Ethiopia’s migrants, but it has not been confirmed yet.
“We have seen the video but our embassy in Cairo has not been able to confirm that the victims are Ethiopian nationals,” Minster Redwan said.
However, whether the victims are Ethiopians or not the government strongly condemns the atrocious killings on innocent migrants, he added.
he urged citizens who are residing in libya and other neighboring countries to care themselves from terrorist attack and confined the areas under the control of is.
Ethiopia is closely following the issue and development in Libya, Redwan said.
The minister confirmed that the government is ready to repatriate Ethiopian migrants from Libya.
According to ENA, the Minister called Ethiopian resident in Libya to contact Ethiopian embassy to Cairo.
