UDJ operating in accordance to election code of conduct

Addis Ababa, 11 May 2015 (WIC) – The Unity for Democracy and Justice (UDJ) Party said it is operating in line  with election code of conduct approved by the National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE).

UDJ Chairperson, Tigistu Awolu, told WIC that his party is undertaking election campaign in line with  political parties’ election code of conduct proclamation number 662/2002.

Tigistu said his part has provided training on the election code of conduct to his members. He also called on other contesting political parties to acquaint their member with the code.

The National Electoral Board of Ethiopia has been giving solutions for the problems that the party faced while campaigning, he said.

UDJ obtains financial support only from its members at home, he said, adding some groups that wanted to promote their hidden mission under financial support were removed from the party recently.
