Ministry of Justice Ready to Prevent Forces from Obstructing Election

Addis Ababa, 20 May 2015 (WIC) – Ministry of Justice announced that it is ready to prevent forces that attempt to obstruct the election from being peaceful, democratic and credible.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the Fifth National Justice Week today, Justice Minister Getachew Ambaye said justice bodies have a big role in making the election peaceful, fair, democratic and credible.

Hence justice bodies have made sufficient preparations to prohibit such forces which one way or another want to disrupt the election, the minster stressed.

The justice weeks celebrated in the past years have enabled justice bodies to work with the public and ensure peace and security in the country, he said, adding that the experiences have boosted their capability to fight anti-peace forces.

President of the Federal Supreme Court, Tegene Getaneh said on his part justice bodies are established at all levels in order to solve disagreements and conflicts that may arise during the election.

According to ENA, series of short-term training have been provided for the bodies so that they could deliver justice efficiently, he pointed out.
