TPLF vows to abate mal-administrative shackles

Addis Ababa, 22 August, 2015(WIC) – The Tigray Peoples Liberation Front (TPLF) has expressed its determination to identify sources of mal-administration and abate them during the period of the second Growth and Transformation Plan (GTP-II).

Opening the front’s meeting in Mekelle with his speech, Chairman of the front, Abay Woldu, said the party is committed to fighting rent seeking tendencies and sustain the development and growth that has commenced in the country.

Abay said this is a suitable time to foster the efforts that are started in different sectors. The meeting shall evaluate accomplishments made during the concluded GTP period and tailor better strategies for the second GTP period.

“We shall reach on consensus on the way to sustain our strengths. But we have to devote most of our time on the drawbacks especially related to mal-administration,” Abay remarked.

The party is expected to introduce new generation of leaders that shall stand on the foot prints of its veteran leaders, Abay said.

Report of the performance of the first GTP and the strategies to better undertake the plans for the second GTP period shall be the focus of the meeting, he noted.
