Addis residents vow to support 10th EPDRF congress decisions

Addis Ababa, 03 September, 2015 (WIC)-Residents of Addis Ababa town said they will support the successful implementation of the decisions and directions set during the 10th EPDRF congress held in Mekelle.

Some dwellers of the capital told WIC that they want to play a crucial role to sustain the economic growth and development of the nation through successful accomplishment of the 10th EPDRF congress decisions.

According to Werkaferahu Ameneshewa, EPDRF has identified key issues and   challenges encountered during the first GTP period and have planned to work on remedies during the second GTP. This is indicative of the party’s commitment to sustain growth and development in the country, he said.

Tsehay Wegu on her part suggested that the party has to work on strengthening public organizations and groups in collaboration with the public to solve problems encountered in the last period.

Meskerem Kassa expressed her commitment to stand behind EPDRF in the fight against rent seeking attitudes and practices and enhancing good governance.

Ephrem Mekonen also showed his desire to contribute his share on the accomplishment of mega projects scheduled for  the second GTP to further sustain fast economic growth of the country.

According to Kassaye Setegn, the 10th EPDRF congress gave emphasis for further development of small and micro enterprises to create more job opportunities for youth and he urged all citizens to strive for the benefit of all.
The 10th EPDRF congress, held in Mekelle with the theme  “attaining public responsibility through excelled growth and transformation,” was successfully completed passing key decisions.
