EPRDF Council begins regular meeting today

Addis Ababa, April 5, 2016 (WIC) – The Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) Council will hold its regular meeting as of today.
According to a statement office of the Council sent to FBC today, the Council will put future directions after reviewing performances of the 2008 party and government’s action plans.

During its previous meeting, the Council began practical activities after endorsing the 2008 action plan which was designed on the basis of the decision taken at the 10th Organization Conference of EPRDF.

In its current meeting, the Council will therefore evaluate performances of the plan as well as put directions for the remaining period, the statement noted.

The Council will deeply review the activities carried out so far in the areas of irrigation, natural resource development, belg season activities, urban development, micros and small enterprises development, infrastructure and other development plans, it noted.

The Council will also deliberate on ways of reinforcing the ongoing activities began with the involvement of the people to create jobs for the youth and address problems of good governance, it said.

Moreover, it will discuss on the efforts being made to prevent the El Nino caused drought as well as on current and party’s internal affairs, among others, the statement indicated (FBC).
