President Mulatu Casts Vote, Urges Citizens to Exercise Rights

Addis Ababa, 24  May 2015 (WIC) – President Mulatu Teshome cast his vote early this morning along with thousands of the city inhabitants who came out to vote en masse.

During the occasion, the president called on all eligible voters to come out and exercise their rights by voting for their favorite party.

He particularly urged the youth to give attention to contributing to the democratization process and sustain the nation’s development activities.

President Mulatu added that contesting political parties should gracefully accept the outcome of the election as well as respect the electoral laws.

The fifth general election is different from the previous elections as the nation is aspiring to meet its target of joining the middle income countries in the coming 10 years, according to him.

According to ENA, voters should therefore vote for a political party that ensures the sustenance of the country’s renaissance during this general election, the president indicated.
