May 28 day is celebrated in Somalia punt land

Addis Ababa, June 02, 2015 (WIC) Ethiopian community   in Somalia punt land has celebrated the 24th anniversary      of May 28 day.

Honorable guest of the celebration of May 28, Deputy President of Punt land his excellency Abdulhakim Abdulhaji Umer said, the establishment of democratic system of Ethiopia is a great lesson for  punt land.

Consular general of Ethiopia, colonel Asemelash Weldemiheret speak on the occasion that thousands martyrs have passed way through  bitter  struggle to demise the dictatorial Derg regime and place  a  corner stone  for peace, development and democracy of the nation.

According to colonel Asemelash, the 5th general election is completed with peaceful and democratic  manner is the result of  May 28 victory  day , he added that  all Ethiopian  diasporas residing indifferent parts of the world should play a great part  for the realization of the renaissance.

Finally , the consular office has presented gifts  for  Ethiopian communities   residing around Grewe for their funding  contribution of the great renaissance dam.

In addition to the May 28 celebration, the consular office in Punt land underway activities to repatriate 27 Ethiopians due to Yemen crisis.
