Oromia determines to strengthen youth, women beneficiary

Addis Ababa, 8 July 2015 (WIC) – The Oromia Regional State has determined to consolidate and strengthen its efforts to benefit the youth and women in the region.

Addressing participants at the 7th Founding Anniversary of Oromia Women League, Chief Administrator Muktar Kedir said the efforts to benefit the youth and women will be strengthened in the years ahead.

According to Muktar, the government has recognized the significant contribution of the youth and women in the ensuring peace, realizing sustainable economic development that it will consolidate activities that could highly benefit this societal segment.

In the first Growth and Transformation Period encouraging performances had already done that ensured the benefits of the youth and women, Muktar added.

He also appreciated the regional League of women for its multi-faceted activities in ensuring the empowerment of women.

He also urged the youth and women in the region to enhance their contribution so that they could be benefited from the country’s development.

The Chief Administrator also emphasized that the Regional State will work industriously to ensure good governance in the region in particular and the country in general.
