Addis Ababa, 7 December 2015(WIC)– The Gambella Regional State Police Commission says it has finalized preparations to celebrate the 10th Nations, Nationalities and People’s Day.
Commissioner of the Commission, Dup Gach, told WIC that the regional police has made adequate preparations to host the invited guests and high level government officials in a secure and peaceful atmosphere and celebrate the day peacefully.
The commission has been undertaking tough security works since the moment Gambella was chosen to host the day, he noted.
Defense Forces, Executive bodeis, the regional Police, and Federal Police are organized in every kebele under command posts, he said. Some kebeles around the Sudan border are given high security emphases, he added.
The commissioner further said that residents of the region are warmly welcoming guests are receiving them hospitable manner.
The commissioner called up on the people in the region and those in neighboring areas to inform the police for any inconveniences related to security, illegal movements and actions.
