The Amhara Regional State Office of Communication Affairs has stated its deep sorrow over the death of people during the Irrecha festival last Sunday.
A statement released by the Office today noted that it is sad to see that the festival is disrupted from being celebrated in accordance with the preparation made and it had become a cause for the death of people.
“Our regional state and the people would like to express our condolences to the people who lost their lives during the event,” the statement underscored.
The festival would have been celebrated as scheduled by the regional state and traditional leaders of the oromo people, Aba Gedas.
