Media, communication tasks need conformity with fast changing globe

The Office of Government Communication Affairs of the South Nations, Nationalities and People’s Regional State has noted that the media and communication works taking place in the country shoul;d conform with the changing nature of the globe.

Office Deputy Head, Semunigus Sheno, indicated that it is important to identify more important information and disseminate them timely and efficiently for the public at large.

The media and communication tasks should play their respective roles in addressing the woes of the public related to good governance and development.

Capacity building is very important in order to supply more qualified information for the media and the society and the human resource in the sector should update itself in a sustainable manner.

A training focused on improving capacity of the human resource in the sector to undertake journalistic tasks efficiently is being provided in different regions of the country.

Meanwhile, the Head of Communication Affairs Office of Amhara Regional State, Nigusu Tilahun, on his part stated the region has identified its strengths and drawbacks during its performance this year in each zone of the regional state.

On the forum prepared for the evaluation of this year’s performance, the regional state has evaluated achievements and failures of each zone and ranked them according to their performances.
