The Government Communication Affairs Office (GCAO) said that the information released from United States of America Embassy to Ethiopia that Babile and Harar areas are in unrest and the road that takes to these areas is blocked is groundless.
“The news released by the embassy’s website is unsubstantiated.” The ministry underscored.
Office Head with Ministerial Status, Negere Lencho (PhD), said that there is no any inconvenience in the area so far, he confirmed.
He added that city administrators of the area have signed memorandum of understanding to manage the border demarcation works.
The border demarcation works are also underway accordingly, it was noted. Officers from the federal and the two regional states are taking part in the process.
