Ethiopia committed to see strong, stable Somalia: Hailemariam

 Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn affirmed his government’s stance in seeing strong and stable Somalia.

 The Premier, who is in New York for the UN General Assembly, made the remark while conferring with Prime Minister of Somalia Hassan Ali Khayre at the Ethiopian consulate in New York, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

 Hailemariam said his country will work closely with the Somali government, as Ethiopia gives due attention to a smooth relationship with neighboring countries.

 The Somali PM for his part acknowledged the important role that Ethiopia would play in the national efforts towards ensuring stability and development in Somalia.

 He also affirmed that Somalia would not be a shelter for groups that could undermine the peace and stability of Ethiopia and will jointly struggle these forces with Ethiopia. (ENA)
