People’s mutual coexistence, support shall sustain-GCAO

The government communication Affairs Office said that mutual coexistence and support induced deep within the people of Ethiopia shall be sustained.

The office, in its weekly statement noted that the support for those displaced due to the recent conflict around the Oromia-Somali border areas and the overall culture of mutual support shall be strengthened.

The statement underlined that the active participation of the public at large on national issues shall be sustained and strengthened.

The people are playing a key role in keeping peace, resolving conflicts, helping the displaced, prevention of drought and facilitating development and these and other endeavors should be sustained.

The statement noted that various efforts are underway to return peace and rehabilitate displaced people around the border areas and three regions have so far contributed more than 30 million birr to back the people affected by the incident.

Ethiopians are exemplary in terms of mutual coexistence, respect, and support under any situation and this has amazed the world at large, the statement remarked.

The support made by the regions and people from different corners of the country is indicative of the fact that there is a strong bond of mutual unity and tranquility within their diversity, according to the statement.
