The government of Ethiopia has expressed condolences over the death of a German tourist and injury of an Ethiopian due to an attack in the Afar regional state.
The German tourist has been shot dead and a guide injured during a visit to the Erta Ale volcano in north-eastern Ethiopia.
The Government Communication Affairs Office told ENA that the attack was carried out by anti-peace forces.
The Office said the government has launched an investigation and it will disclose details after the investigation.
