TPLF says it will continue clamp down on rent-seekers, corrupts

The Tigray Peoples Liberation Front (TPLF) will continue clamping down on rent seekers and corrupts, Party chairperson announced.

Party chairperson, Debretsion Gebremicael told WMC that corrupts and rent seekers, who created a good governance problems should be investigated from top to the low level of the administration structure.

In the party’s 35th meeting recently held in Mekelle, it was transpired that there are leaders who own more than one residential house.

According to him, leaders who rent their house and live in government apartment are made to vacate the government houses.

He said that the party will continue recruiting new members, which showed limit in terms of exploiting the experience of veteran party members.

To this effect, he said that new leaders are exhibiting gaps in decision making, which is due to partly in the perception created among the long-serving leaders as power sharing scheme.

In the evaluation, according Debretsion, both previous and new leaders identified that there were problems in working in cooperation.

He added that the TPLF has a share for problems happened in the country.
