PM Hailemariam urges youth to strive for further achievements

Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn said that youth should play their pivotal role and exert more effort to replicate achievements and satisfy public interests at large.  

The Premier during his opening speech at the 4th Ordinary Conference of Addis Ababa Youth League today noted that youth are contributing much in the overall growth and development of the country; their role should be maximized in social, economic and political aspects to realize Ethiopian renaissance.  

Prime Minister Hailemariam, underlined that Ethiopia is recording achievements in growth and development; despite there are limitations to satisfy the ever growing interest of the public in parallel.  

He noted that the youth also have to get rid of rent seeking, corruption, chauvinism and narrowism which are becoming causes for public dissatisfaction and violence. In addition, the youth should take part in resolving grievances.

Walta has learnt that the Conference expected to carry out the league’s two years performance evaluation and will be concluded tomorrow.
