The Government Communication Affairs Office (GCAO) with its weekly press statement sent to Walta noted that public should maximize participation for the construction of the Ethiopian Grand Renaissance Dam (GERD) until its completion.
The 7th anniversary of the GERD foundation stone laying will be colorfully celebrated on 2nd April 2018.
According to the statement, different income generating and public mobilization schemes are being undertaken in different regions of the country.
It was noted that public participation for the dam since its foundation stone laid has continued vigorously, the construction of the dam is now 64 percent completed.
The government insisted the public to continue and strengthen its sense of ownership and contribution until the accomplishment of GERD to meet its target.
