Eight-Member Committee formed to resolve boundary dispute between Addis and Oromia

An eight-member committee has been formed to sustainably resolve the administrative boundary dispute between Addis Ababa city and Oromia regional state.

According to a statement issued by Office of the Prime Minister, members of the committee are drawn from the federal government, Addis Ababa city administration, and Oromia reginal state.

The committee’s task is to come up with recommendations to address the issue.Members of the committee are:

1. Mrs. Muferiat Kamil- Minister of Peace (Chairperson)

2. Mrs. Teyiba Hassen – Deputy Chief Administrator of Oromia regional state (member)

3. Ahmed Tussa – Urban Development Cluster Coordinator with the rank of Deputy Chief Administrator of Oromia regional state (member)

4. Dr Girma Amente –Rural Development Cluster Coordinator with the rank of Deputy Chief Administrator of Oromia regional state (member)

5. Takele Uma – Deputy Mayor of Addis Ababa city administration (member)

6. Endawek Abte – Social Cluster Coordinator with the rank of Deputy Mayor of Addis Ababa city administration (member)

7. Dr Solomon Kidane- Economic Cluster Coordinator with the rank of Deputy Mayor of Addis Ababa city administration (member)

8. Tesfaye Beljige – Public Mobilization Advisor to Mayor of Addis Ababa city administration (member)
