Security advisor says security, intelligence institution’s capacity boosted over last year

The national security advisor of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed at the rank of Minister, Temesgen Tiruneh told a press conference that the capacity of country’s information, security and intelligence institutions have gotten a boost during the last one year.

 The institutions, which saw reforms, are, among others, Ministry of National Defense, National Intelligence Agency, Information Network and Security Agency and the Federal Police.

According to Temesgen, operational, organizational and attitudinal reforms have touched these institutions.

 He said that the National Defense Force saw an organizational reform as Navy, Cyber Science and Cyber Security got included as new entity.
