PM transmits message on the eve of Meskel

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has transmitted his message on the eve of Meskel, a festival commemorating the founding of the true cross of Jesus’s crucifixion.

Those who hided the cross were not honest to themselves, but the believers in the true cross were honest and were sure that it shall be found one day and we have to draw the key lesson at this juncture from them, he noted in his message.

To write a new history, we have to pave a new way, a new behavior and a new way of accomplishing things, the PM underlined.

We have to draw lessons from Queen Helena that wholeness instead of conflict, cooperation instead of confrontation and embracing each other instead of pushing one from the other are the foundations for success as people.

Like the bonfire that we lit in front of our houses this evening we have to stand together and light up our nation and create a better future for all of us.

The Premier also wished a happy festival for all Ethiopians.
