Authority readies to immediately respond to emergency calls

Addis Ababa Fire and Emergency Prevention and Control Authority said that it has finalized preparation to deal with possible fire and flood accident during the rainy season.

Authority’s communication head, Solomon Mekonnen told MWC that its eight branches locatetd across the city are stand by 24 hours to immediately respond emergency calls.

 According to him, the Authority has assessed the areas where flood could possible and cautious to deal with fire break out that would resulted from installation of electric line installations.

“We already identified flood prone areas, and prepared plan to prevent it,” he added.

He said that staff of the authority has distributed leaflets, which were meant to aware the people on how to properly handle fire and flood incidents.

According to him, the authority is equipped with modern logistics and manpower to prevent and handle emergency incidents.
