The Addis Ababa Fire and Emergency Prevention, Control Authority announced that it has finalized its preparation to respond to possible fire outbreaks and emergency incidents during the New Year celebration.
Authority Public Relation Head told WMC that all eight branch of the Authority will be on standby mod so that they can immediately reach to scenes struck by fire.
The Authority,which according to him, prioritize accident prevention has made a street campaign to aware the people how to abort possible fire accidents when occurred and how to avoid fire accidents.
He said that the experts have assessed hotels and big markets Centares to know whether they have fixed fire protection devices so that experts would offer recommendations and reprimand for those failed to fulfill devices.
According him, the Authority has necessary logistics to deal with accidents, if occurred..
He also urged the public to immediately tip the authority by dialing 939, free of charge telephone line.
