Quality Award Ceremony held at National Palace

The fifth round of Ethiopian Quality Award Ceremony held at the National Palace.

This year, 63 organizations were willing to be registered to participate in the award of which 18 of them knocked out as they failed to fulfill the eligibility criteria, while the remaining 45 organizations posed for competition. However, 14 out of 45 organizations passed for the award.

Speaking at the ceremony yesterday, President Dr. Mulatu Teshome said that the government will continue supporting the Quality Award Ceremony with the intent that they will for country’s economic development and image building.

The President said that participants of the award will use the award to inspire them for better work and competition.

From among the participants Harar beer, University of Gondar and Universal International Laboratory won the first level award, while Origin Investment PLC, Bedele Beer PLC, Paradise Lodge Arbaminch, Belay Ab Cable,Almanta Genral Hospital and Gambi  General Hospital won the second level award.

Adama Development, Sheba Leather Industry, Amhara Water Works Construction Organization, Mossebo Cement and Biruh Tesfa Mesno were the participants finished third.

With all the five rounds of the award held so far, 85 production and service organization are awarded.
